Form Studios contacted me midway through a web redesign for EMC Corporation, maker of Retrospect backup software. They needed a series of Adobe Photoshop comps, designed by their agency in New York, converted into templates and integrated into a custom-built CMS. Additionally, Form Studios wanted the challenge of building the template using an elastic design, meaning as a user changed their preferred text size, the design would scale accordingly. With the project needing to be completed ASAP, we knocked out roughly twenty unique templates in a highly compressed timeframe—including the elasticity—with semantic HTML, clean CSS, and a dash of JavaScript via the Dojo library.
